01 - Line a large baking sheet completely with parchment paper or wax paper, ensuring edges are covered to prevent sticking.
02 - Place chopped chocolate in a microwave-safe heatproof bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring thoroughly after each burst, until completely smooth and fluid. Alternatively, melt over a double boiler, stirring constantly until glossy.
03 - Hold each Peep firmly by its base or insert a bamboo skewer into the bottom. Dip the Peep into melted chocolate, submerging completely and rotating to ensure even coverage. Gently tap against bowl edge to remove excess chocolate.
04 - Immediately transfer dipped Peep to prepared baking sheet. While chocolate remains wet, sprinkle with decorations or toppings of choice. Work quickly before chocolate begins to set.
05 - Transfer baking sheet to refrigerator and chill for 20 to 30 minutes, or until chocolate coating is completely firm and no longer tacky to touch.
06 - Layer finished treats between parchment paper in an airtight container. Store at cool room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days.
